The anteroom and the room of the Minister of Internal Affairs
The area of the bunker where was located the office of the Minister of Internal Affairs is composed of a anteroom that was needed for a secretary, an office, a bedroom and a bathroom.
Since the bunker was finished constructing (1986) this room (even though it was furnished and ready for use), has never been used by any minister in office, even to perform exercises.
There have been only three circumstances that have caused the emergency plan in the bunker: the first time, in February 1991 during the street protests that led to the demolition of the statue of Enver Hoxha.
The second time, in September 1998 during the rebellion that followed the assassination of opposition’s politician Azem Hajdari.
And the last time in March 1999, when as a result of NATO bombing on Belgrade to free Kosovo from Serb occupation there was the fear that Serbia trigger a revenge attack on Tirana.
Even on these three conditions, despite the emergency situations, the bunker was not used.
