Bugs, this is how the state’s “Sigurimi” functioned
In one of the rooms of the museum Bunk'Art 2, dedicated to how the state’s “Sigurimi” functioned, is shown through a concrete example how interceptions were carried out from the house of the collaborator to the house of the intercepted.
Placed on the wall, is shown how bugs were put within a microphone through a tube which had to record all conversations and movements of the person whom home was tapped.
On the other hand the spy of the other house recorded this conversations with a special camera.
Also through a hole in the wall were made footage of photographs with a special device.
In addition, in this room there are concrete examples of interceptions from the day Enver Hoxha died. Interceptions were made in different houses in Tirana and in some prison cells.
These intercepts reveal the opinions of opponents of the regime and often the joy for the death of the dictator.
