BUNK'GALERI
One of the most fascinating rooms to visit at Bunk'Art 2: The room of manipulations - A fusion of art and history
Bunk'Art 2 in Tirana continues to captivate visitors with new and unique experiences that blend history and art. One of the museum's most intriguing rooms is the “Room of Manipulations,” a space that, for the first time, explores the connection between optical illusions and propaganda used by the communist regime. This section, specially designed to illustrate how the communist regime used visual manipulation to shape people’s perceptions, is a must-see for all visitors.
In this room filled with optical effects and illusion games, visitors encounter examples of propaganda techniques used to create an alternate reality under the regime. Through installations and exhibitions, it is shown how the art of illusion and propaganda merged to present a distorted reality, shaping the beliefs and emotions of the public.
Bunk'Art 2, located in the heart of Tirana near Skanderbeg Square, is dedicated to the history of the Ministry of Interior and State Security, showcasing methods of control and surveillance. In this space, visitors experience a unique blend of art and history, serving as a vivid reminder of the powerful impact that visual manipulation and propaganda had during the communist decades.
The Room of Manipulations at Bunk'Art 2 invites visitors to look beyond appearances and to gain a deeper understanding of the complexity of communist propaganda and its effects on society.
