BUNK'GALERI

The GAZ-69, once a powerful symbol of communism, can now be found at Bunk'Art 2

The Gaz-69 was a vehicle produced in the Soviet Union and widely used during Albania’s communist era. It served primarily the 'Sigurimi' (State Security) and high-ranking officials, becoming a powerful symbol of the regime’s control and surveillance. Known for its durability and off-road capabilities, it played a crucial role in the regime’s efforts to monitor and maintain power over the population.

Today, this iconic vehicle is one of the most striking exhibits at Bunk'Art 2, where visitors can see it up close and experience a piece of Albania's dark history. It stands as a reminder of that era, demonstrating how even the most ordinary tools could become symbols of power and repression.

At Bunk'Art 2, the Gaz-69 adds an authentic dimension to the museum, creating a direct connection to the country's past and the history of the State Security.
