Bunk'Art 1: Historical periods from World War I to the Communist Regime
Bunk'Art 1 was built in the 1970s during the period of communist dictatorship in Albania. This secret bunker was designed to shelter the highest state and party leaders in the event of a nuclear attack. Its construction took several years and included advanced technology for the time, ensuring maximum protection and comfort for those being sheltered.
This bunker represented the fear and paranoia of the communist regime towards a possible external attack, as well as the efforts to maintain control and stability in the country during emergencies. Now transformed into a historical museum for tourists, rich with facts from the past
